A THOUSAND AND ONE METAMORPHOSES

The following work was done as part of a seminar dedicated to the history, methodology, and possible architectural implications of collage. 

I chose to study in particular the work and methodology of Jiri Kolar, a Czech artist and writer who was most active following the Second World War  Kolar's methods of creating were both varied and precise.  He has many different types of collage he generated, including but not limited to: intercollage, rollage, prollage, chiasmage, and crumplage.  The work here is an attempt to replicate these techniques in an architectural context.
